New Business Sales Executive


The New Business Sales Executive works as part of our sector teams to drive revenue growth. through the application of their subject matter and consultative sales expertise. The New Business Sales Executive will identify areas of opportunity, qualify and close deals to improve Mobica’s business within new and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Researching prospects or acting upon lead generation from Marketing to identify key opportunities, generating interest, and developing relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Map client organisations, creating sales strategies for developing new business opportunities
  • Guide and provide input into end-to-end lead generation, sales campaigns, and coordinate RFI/RFP processes. 
  • Bring a ‘hunting’ mindset to all market and sales opportunities - create and execute pursuit strategies, building “win-win” value propositions at a target company and individual level with prospective clients.
  • Work closely within Mobica’s sector organisation to provide input into new service offerings.
  • In addition to successfully converting new target accounts, create the foundation for long-term, value-based relationships. 
  • Be knowledgeable on Cognizant’s wider industry offerings, products, credentials, and case studies.
  • Grow a strong qualified pipeline of new clients and existing client opportunities.
  • Record and keep up to date sales forecasts in the CRM system. 
  • Participate in regular sales pipeline and business review cadences
  • Be highly visible and active in price negotiations and contractual agreements to close the sale.
  • Maintain an awareness of market trends and provide feedback which impacts Mobica’s and Cognizant’s business.

Required Qualifications 

  • 5+ years’ experience in selling software & technologies services.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of software technologies and project delivery.  
  • Proven track record of success, delivering to and exceeding sales quotas.
  • Experience developing opportunity pipelines, qualifying high priority deals, and winning new business
  • Experience engaging with C-level stakeholders at the business and technology level, using a consultative selling approach to maximize client outcomes
  • Strong knowledge on current industry trends
  • Technology and consulting acumen with the ability to positively translate this into business value
  • Ability to manage entire sales lifecycle from opportunity identification to contracting
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and think "outside the box" to creatively solve problems
