About the speaker

Tom Cheesewright

Futurist speaker Tom Cheesewright is one of the UK’s leading commentators on technology and tomorrow. He draws on his experience to create original, compelling talks that are keyed to the experience of the audience but which surprise and shock with unexpected facts and examples.

Tom is a frequent presence in the media, his face, voice, and unusual name recognisable from weekly appearances on TV and radio including BBC Breakfast, Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, 5live, Radio 4, and TalkRadio, and in The Guardian, The Times, and The Evening Standard.

“There will never be a perfect response. These challenges are unprecedented. But organisations that had prepared for dramatic but much narrower changes in their own sectors will have fared much better than those that were optimised for the status quo.”

This session is open to businesses of all sizes, however places are limited. During this 20-minute talk, Tom will be sharing insight and industry techniques that he details in his new book, Future-Proof Your Business such as:

  • Scan the near horizon for incoming shocks
  • Accelerate decision-making in your business
  • Delegate power to the front line, speeding your response
  • Streamline your organisation so it's agile and can adapt to change
